The Beauty of Being Uncomfortable

Hello friends! It's been a minute since I've last wrote on my blog but wanted to come on today and spread some love and positivity! You know what? You are SO GREAT! God looked at you and said, "This world needs someone like you!" You are so special and I'm so thankful that God placed you on this earth! You are so valuable! Let's get into today's topic!

Have you ever been in a season of being uncomfortable? You don't understand why God brought you there? Whether it's pain, heart break, stress, anxiety, temptation, etc. you just don't understand how you could be doing so good and then everything is just taken right out from underneath you? That was me. I felt robbed and I felt like I was never going to feel joy again. I turned to everything but God. Then, I felt a tug on my heart to spend time with God. The overwhelming love I felt, why didn't I cling on sooner? I was so uncomfortable being alone. That's the thing. God has to isolate us sometimes to get our attention. Think of Job. God allowed Satan to take everything away from him to see if he would remain faithful. Then, God restored everything that was taken! God wants us to be uncomfortable because that is where growth and strength come from.

There's a time for everything. There are seasons that are going to be better than others. Think of it as an opportunity for God to restore and work in you. Think of it as a season of preparation. Even when you want to quit, God will bring you reassurance that He is with you. Change your perspective from in the moment to what is God preparing me for? God is strengthening me for something I don't know yet. That should bring you so much joy! James 1 is a great example of this. The testing of our faith is producing perseverance so that you will lack in nothing!

Being uncomfortable can be difficult and seem like it's never going to end. God is doing a good work in you and is holding your hand every step of the way. When you don't understand, let God direct your feet and let Him be in control. Understand that you are going to come out of that season stronger than ever before! Let that be your testimony, let that season be a way to glorify God's Kingdom! Don't let it consume you! You got this! Free fall into God's loving hands!

You are not alone! You are loved, you are strong, and you are going to be restored! I love you! I know you are capable! Go out today and shine God's light! Sing songs of praise and rejoice because you serve a God who chose you! <3
