Hello, and welcome to another blog post from, Sparks of Joy! I am so excited to share all of what God is doing in my life and I hope this motivates you to keep pursuing Him not for the rewards, but for the relationship with Him! A relationship with God is the ultimate reward and also the greatest blessing you will receive! Grab some coffee, popcorn, or whatever food or drink that brings you comfort and lets dive right on in!
I felt God put ministry on my heart for the longest time! Ever since I was 16, I felt called to be in ministry. I felt God lead me to a higher calling but I always casted it aside because I never felt qualified to do it. I never felt like I had everything in my life together and I was too imperfect to be in ministry. I realized after really getting serious with my faith that God qualifies the unqualified. God puts the pieces together when you fully commit in walking with Him! I went from feeling too far gone to feeling so ready to do it, even though I was still in the midst of struggling. Instead of focusing on the I can't, I started focusing on the God can. At the end of September, God placed ministry on my heart once again and I finally listened and began the journey of becoming a youth leader at my church!
At the beginning of October, I had the opportunity to go to a youth ministry conference and it was such a pivatol moment for me. I felt myself falling more in love with Jesus. It was like the overwhelming feeling that words can't describe! Jesus poured out his love into my spirit and left me breathless. He healed my hurt, he mended my broken pieces, he took all the yuck and made me clean, and he called me to be closer to Him! I made so many amazing friends and got even closer with the friends I already have. On the way back from the conference I was in the car with three amazing individuals and we all shared our testimony with each other and talked about the goodness of God for quite literally 3 hours. It was so refreshing for me to see God so near to me and near to others as well; to pray over each other and to worship together! It was so spiritually rewarding!
What I have been taking away recently in life is that Jesus' yoke is easy. That doesn't mean life is going to be easy at all but when we decide to cast our cares on Him and let Him take care of it, life becomes bearable in the rough times. I've also been adament about running to God for answers and constantly being in prayer. God is our friend and just as we tell our friends everything, we should tell God everything, even though He already knows. The last thing is that when you draw near and make the effort to seek God and want that relationship with Him, watch God move your mountains. God will draw even closer to you! Recently, God has been engaging with my spririt and His presence is so strong. God is always with me and you whether you feel His presence or not!
If you are struggling in life right now and not sure where to go or who to talk to, God is waiting for you. God has his arms stretched out for you. God is extending his grace out to you. Rest in His everlasting love and His endless grace. Let God be your friend, your Father, your King. Whatever season you are in right now, God is with you! Let God reveal himself to you in your situation and enjoy walking with God! Enjoy the mountains, enjoy the valleys, enjoy the rivers, enjoy the deserts. Enjoy the highs, enjoy the lows, enjoy the laughs, enjoy the tears, enjoy the growth, enjoy the waiting, enjoy it all! Ecclesiastes 3:1-11 says there is a time and season for everything! Enjoy where you are now, God is preparing and perfecting for you! He will move you in His perfect timing! Stay faithful!
I am so proud of you! I love you! You are doing the best you can do and that's enough! Don't expect yourself to do it all! Rely on God and rely on your community around you to help you! You are perfectly imperfect! You are strong but not in your own strength but in God's! Let go and Let God! Trust His will and not your own! Until next time friends! <3
