Delight n' the Light

Hello friends and welcome to the new name change Delight n the light! I am so excited for all God is going to do through this blog and maybe even a podcast hehe! Anyways, I wanted to share my heart on why I switched from Sparks of Joy to Delight n the Light! I am so excited to share and journey with you! Alright I need to start coming up with catch phrases to start off the blog posts, so I will definitely be thinking about some! Let's get into it! :)

So I started this blog gosh I think it was when I was a senior in high school and I chose to write about the things I journeyed through in my walk with the Lord. The goal was to create a safe space for people to come and read and be relatable to those who have walked or journeying through things I went through with God. Some seasons it was joys others it was really tough but all the Glory to the one who has established each step and never leaves my side! Sparks of Joy was a great place to put my thoughts and all the things the Lord was teaching me into a place to bring newness and refreshment into my life. Was I consistent with it, no it was always just an, "oh I gotta write this down and share" spontaneously! Sparks of Joy started when I was in a really dark place and I really wanted to bring light to the situation I was in! I was so blessed to have God lead me and show me that writing is a great outlet to bring worship to Him and to do something amazing with Him! Sparks of Joy was such a great thing!

I decided to change the name because that part of my life is over and the chapter is closed! I really feel like I want to bring light to people and to show people what it truly means to be the light of the world! I want to share and create and use this as a place and space to create and share all the Lord is doing and leading me to even if I have no idea what I'm doing haha! Some of it could be what the Lord is teaching me, some of it could be poems, I really don't know but I am really excited to share Jesus with you, the light of the world! In one of the Psalms it says, "Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." Who is the word, Jesus! In John 8 Jesus says,"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not live in darkness, but will have the light of life." In Luke 11 it says we are the light on a hill! We are created through the light and in truth! I really want to be that and grow in that! As the world grows darker, friends I pray our lights through Jesus would grow brighter! I am so pumped for what the Lord has for us! Love you all! <3
