2024 Recap!

Hi friends and welcome back to another blog! I can't even believe it is 2025! I am so excited for all that God has planned, but most importantly all that He has done! Today I am going to be reflecting on all the ways the Lord showed up for me and for my now husband! Please grab a warm or iced drink and your favorite snack and let's dive right in!

This last year was full of ups and downs but the things I have taken away and learned from God was worth it. Some highs from 2024 would be I stepped out in faith and spent so much time learning from God and being involved as much as I could. I felt the burning passion for the Lord and really felt so connected to God! The second half of the year was where I felt myself slip and things began to become harder with marriage, creating new rythms, being in a new job, and running around. Here are some things I took away from 2024!

1. God can use our disappointments and turn them for something greater! I faced a lot of disappointment with school and not knowing what the Lord wanted for me. All I know is that God turned it around and is still at work! He turned a broken relationship into a marriage. He turned what seemed as lost into something better through Him!

2. You don't need the world to define your worth and status! After I dropped out of school and really didn't know what I wanted to do or what my purpose was, I was really concerned about what others thought of me. In reality a job title, a major, or anything outward appearance related does not define who you are, only Jesus does! Our identity rests in Jesus alone!

3. When God speaks don't just hear it and move on, seek Him out on what He is trying to say! Over the course of the second half of the year God gave me dreams, signs, and people that reiturated the same things. I did not listen and take it to heart. I did not seek to understand because I thought I already knew and understood what He was trying to say. I indeed did not. Don't assume you know, seek to understand to save you and prepare you for what is to come.

4. God has bigger plans than we have for ourselves! I remember in November of 2023 I was consistently praying for JP and I to get back together and God brought us back together! We were building and growing together through serving and attending young adult goup together! God turned what was broken into a beautiful covenant! God can bless us abundantly more than we ask, think, or imagine!

5. The more you focus on your problems, the bigger and stronger they become; when we focus on Jesus, the smaller the problems we face become. I try and take things into my own hands but I really had to and still am learning to trust in God and let Him lead me through the darkness. I struggle with taking my thoughts captive and the enemies goal is to knock you down whether if it's in business, distraction, lies, or outward apprearance. I am learning that God gives us all that we need to through Him to overcome the darkness.

In 2025, my hope is to make Jesus greater and myself less. I hope for a deeper connection to Jesus and to create with Him! I also hope to find different ways to worship Him and make His name known! I have so many things I feel the Lord pressing me to overcome and walk in obedience to. I am so excited to create, love, and share all the things the Lord is doing and is working on!
